Explore Hocking Hills Pet-Friendly Hiking Trails
Dogs are allowed on most Hocking Hills state park trails. However, dogs are not permitted at the state nature preserve areas such as Conkles Hollow and Rockbridge. Your pet must be leashed, and we ask that you stay on the trails, clean up after your dog, and have fun!
- Old Man’s Cave: Explore the .6-mile trail along a scenic gorge to one of Ohio’s most popular natural attractions.
- Ash Cave: Hike to the state’s largest cave with your furry friend by your side on this easy .5-mile asphalt trail.
- Cedar Falls: The .6-mile loop is a strenuous hike that takes you past seasonal waterfalls, bridges, and rock formations.
If you want to see all three of these natural attractions, take the six-mile Grandma Gatewood Trail that connects Old Man’s Cave to Cedar Falls and Ash Cave!

Plan a trip to Hocking Hills with your four-legged friends and stay in our Hocking Hills pet-friendly cabins. All of our A-Frame cabins are pet-friendly and include two bedrooms and one bathroom. If you want a larger property to host your group, we offer the beautiful four-bedroom Hidden Heights property. All of our chalets include a scenic setting, outdoor hot tub, fireplace, grill, and firepit, fully-equipped kitchens, access to Chalets resort pool, and plenty of space to hang out with fido by your side!
Chalets in Hocking Hills Pet-Policy
Our pet policy allows a maximum of two pets per cabin with a $50 pet fee. Pets must be well-mannered and house-broken and are not to be left unattended or alone in your cabin. Please bring crates, pens, or carrying cases. To bring your pet, we ask you to complete the proper paperwork before your arrival.
