Stargazing and Astronomy in the Hocking Hills

As the night sky gets continually washed out by urban light pollution, it is getting harder and harder for the average person to get a really good look at the stars. Down here in the Hocking Hills, we have a beautiful, wide-open view of the heavens! From all of our secluded Hocking Hills cabins, you can get a clearer picture of the stars than anywhere else in the state.

Bring your telescope and a guidebook or Stargazing App to identify stars, planets, constellations, and if your camera is really good you can get a photo of the Milky Way! If you want to see it from a unique spot, the new John Glenn Astronomy Center is an interesting place to visit.
